Sold a expensive item on eBay but buyer hasn't picked it up from Usps in 7 days!!!
 

Item was sold 10 days ago Usps tried to deliver buyer was not home. I am using a stealth account but used a return address that was my family members old address and he had moved. If the item is returned is there a way to change the return shipping address? I also sent a letter to the new home owners stating I sell slot of items online and there might be a chance of a return item with there address on it. I explained I would use there address as I work out of the city a lot and wanted returned items to goto that address.

Not much you can do about it now... The return address is specified and theres no way to change it.
Better hope the new owners of that house are nice enough to return that package to you.

Similar situation happened to me before I sent a package but it was lost in the mail or not deliverable I contacted Usps as lost they found it and returned to a different address

I had this happen once. Item was returned to the wrong (stealth) address for a return before I had a chance to change it in eBay.

If you know the tracking # and the item is still in transit (has yet to be delivered) you can try going to USPS.com and requesting an intercept/re-delivery. They might also be able to do it over the phone. Might not work in all cases, and largely depends on the service used.

It is Usps and I have text alerts for the package as well and a date if the buyer doesn't pick up.

Open a claim or case on USPS and say you moved and need to get that package delivered to X address

I'm confused be because slower says nothing I can do about it then nickopedia says I can contact Usps.....

I've redirected and recovered packages, why don't you contact USPS and try it?

FYI - You can't just 'send a letter' and tell people you'll be using their address... are you serious?

You need to make other arrangements.

Seriously though if you can contact usps before the item gets delivered anywhere and you know the tracking number you may be able to intercept it.

Yeah the fact you think you can just send a letter to the homeowners telling them you're "going to use their address for returns" hahah I'd have half a mind to keep anything sent their if it was me. You can't just arbitrarily pick addresses and decide they're going to be used as a shipping hub for your stealth business.

You need to take the advice of others on here and contact USPS to explain the situation. They may be able to re-route it to you depending on what services you used, but at any rate they'll be able to give you n answer one way or another.

Addres was my brothers address he just sold the house a few weeks ago
