FB on eBay isn't really anything special, except maybe to boost the sellers ego of course. ;)

I see quite a few sellers I list in with FB of less than 20 pulling in just as many sales (if not more) than I do, and my FB is around 700+ In fact, even zero FB sellers tend to get as much business too.

From a standpoint of reputation, most buyers just want the item and won't read too much into how much star points a particular seller has.

I have an ebay account for 13 years. I have had a 30 day suspension probably 50 times. The beauty about the latest suspension is that you can change another one of your listings to what was banned and start again. Then if it is banned again in a week it starts the 30 days reset then you just change another.

I thought you could only change price/qty about the listing while on 30-day suspension.. nothing in the title/desc.. or has that changed to allow content changes?

My main account (only 5k FB) has had several 30-day "time-outs" when they do not like one the products I have up. Some of them have been bogus and/or not a full sweep of the product (just that account). Nevertheless whenever there is a ding, its a full 30-day "time-out" again.

Yes you can now change title and description even change paypal address.

So if you just make 10 extra listings and list as zero quantity and save for a rainy day....you are technically never timed out lol.

One flaw in your thinking that eventually will prove fatal is that your 20K account will give a new account some strength, help with the limits, and give it some credibility with Fleabay when in reality it's FAR more likely that a new account is going to bring risk to your 20K account.

There is NO SUCH THING as a secure account, and just that you keep getting reinstated or temporary time-outs doesn't mean it's always going to happen. The "time outs" are always temporary, until they aren't.

If you have 1,000 feedback or 20,000 feedback, I'm going to be JUST as interested to buy software keys from you, at the 1,000 feedback mark it's more about if you have a 98.99% rating vs a 99.99% rating. Don't focus so much on that 20K, and if you really want to protect it, you know the risky items to stop selling on there.

You can't do risky things and eliminate risk. At least not at the same time.

I don't quite understand. ALL of my listings were removed and then I got suspended. Every time I've been suspended , they always remove everything first regardless of whether it brakes certain rules.

As for the post I'm quoting , you are basically saying that if I were to change the titles slightly once I decide to go back , there will be less risk ? And if I were to do slight changes to all my the titles of the "risky" items every week , that would also reduce the risk ? I have no problem doing that if it's true , please confirm and rephrase yourself in a more understandable way. Thank you anyways.

Yeah, sounds like a disaster looking for a place to happen.

If it's even true.

I can't imagine EB allowing anyone to sell who had 5 30 day suspensions, much less 50.

I have read all the topic, thank you for the experience shared here, helped alot.

I still have few questions really related to this topic:
1. How long do you need to wait for suspensions to be "erased" from your history ?
2. Is it usualy that eBay ends all of your listings when applying 30 restriction to the account? When I received 10 day restrictions, only few listings were ended.

I'm asking this because I have received 30day restriction recently and I'm afraid of loosing my account if I start relisting after 30 days. I am thinking about putting this account for a cooldown to "reset" these restrictions, but I do not know the right duration for that, 2 months, 3 months?

Are you relisting the same things you have been getting restricted for?!? Seems like it...playing with fire
