kirkland | 06-09-2017 02:31 PM | We must verify your identity - on 2005 eBay account Hello, I have an account from 2005 which is my real account which i recently listed 4 brand name items. They are new, and they are from a category i have sold before and quite frequently... just a different model. About $25 each, and I listed them this morning and they've all sold out so far. Pretty fast.
So I went to my mobile app to update the listing quantity, I went to confirm it, and then received a popup to this affect "to keep ebay safe, must verify identity". Very weird. I then tried updating the quantity from my computer, and I was able to without issue.
This is my main account I created back in college with tons of buying/selling history, legit account, legit address, real items, etc. Whats with the mobile popup?
I've checked my eBay messages too, and haven't gotten any "account limiation" or "identity check required" message. I do have an Action Required (credit card was declined for ebay fees, as i recently changed the CC #, but obv I will fix this)... could this have been the reason for the issue?
It just seems really strange to me to get that popup considering the strength of this account and then to be able to list anyway via desktop. You guys have any thoughts?
