Buyer sent return to wrong address?
 

Ok so heres the situation.

Buyer didnt like the item.

Opened a case to return. I accepted the return and provided the address I needed it returned to.

I guess the buyer did not look at the case and returned it to the address on the package they received.

The buyer uploaded the receipt of the tracking and it SHOWS that they sent it to the wrong address that was NOT provided in the ebay return case.

This has never happened to me lol....

So the question is....can I actually win?

What is the next steps I should take? Thanks in advance

Yes, it should be ok.

And the USPS most likely will be shipping that package back to the buyer so pay attention to the tracking details

Why did you put a bad return address on the package?

Put a little sticker with your real address over it in the future, and you won't have this problem.

are you saying that they didn't use the prepaid label and paid for it out of their own pocket? or did you messaged them the address that is different than what is on file?

I had this situation few times. The last one was few days ago. The buyer used the address provided by ebay. If tracking shows "delivered" just forget about that package and issue a refund. Or ebay will do that and it will be recorded on your account.
