Old eBay with new PP

I know this topic has been covered before on this forum, but many here seem to think that it's OK to switch out a PayPal that has been limited with another new one for an existing eBay account.

Just about every rule (including the stealth guide) advises against this. Some claim once the PP is limited or suspended, the eBay is toast also can't be used with a new PP as they can easily link you with the old acct.

It's been brought to my attention that PP can see both the actual "Account ID" as well as the username of the EB account used for transactions. This Account ID is a unique "account number" of sorts which is permanent and cannot be changed even if you change your UserID.

With this info, no matter what you do, every new PP you link to (or results) in a transaction with that old EB acct will be instantly linked to your old, limited PP (or any past PP's you used before) Proper stealth principals state to never use anyone that was used before- start fresh with everything.

Can anyone here shed more light on this? If you are able to use a new, fresh PP with an eBay, how "solid" is it?

Your PP ID is available on your dashboard. It is a unique identifier and never changes or goes away.

You will be instantly linked if you attach a new PP to an old EB.

If, when, or how long it will last is a variable.

But, fast or slow, it will go down, and odds are you will lose your money for at least 180 days, if not forever.

Isn't worth the risk. EB accounts are dime a dozen waiting for change.

Best option is to leave your eBay account. Throw it in the trash along with your limited PayPal account. I've done it before by linking a new PayPal account to my old eBay. But eventually my old eBay along with the new PayPal account got limited.

Start both accounts fresh. Avoid cross-contamination.

Re: Old eBay with new PP

I sure do hate trashing an old eBay that I built up with some nice sales/feedback because the PP it was used with was limited.

I suspected that was the case despite people on here saying linking a new PayPal will work fine after. Maybe for awhile?

Both the eBay and PayPal have fixed/permanent account ID's which will definately link you once that first EB sale hits PP.
