| | | Aguero | 06-19-2017 07:28 AM | Listings visibility / hide current listings Hi guys,
I want to ask you is it possible to make my current listings not visible in my country ?
Thanks in advance. |
| Dufus | 06-19-2017 12:25 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Exclude your country from the list. It won't show there but they can still check your listings if they change the country. |
| Aguero | 06-19-2017 02:34 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings From which list ? I think about list with countries i ship to, but i am not sure is this work. |
| dallis | 06-19-2017 07:49 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Why do this? Are your neighbors scammers? |
| Aguero | 06-20-2017 07:15 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Local competitors. Is it possible to make it ?
Thanks |
| Dufus | 06-20-2017 10:15 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Yeah exclude your country from the shipping list. |
| dallis | 06-20-2017 10:29 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings So you think they can't see your stuff being sold elsewhere? |

@ Guys, i will be thankful to hear any other suggestions about my question.
Thanks in advance |

Thanks in advance | I'm not seeing anywhere on the listing page that allows for excluding your own country in any way. And I doubt there is any way for you to hide your listings from your own country. |
| dallis | 06-21-2017 08:20 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings There's no way to hide your 'sold' listings that I know of. |

@ dallis
May be if listings are "private listings" there is some chance.
@ Guys
Thanks for all replays. After i read them all i think there is no way to hide my current listings anyway. This is so bad for business. No privacy : )
Cheers and good luck to all of you. |

Cheers and good luck to all of you. | Go into your listings, and hide YOUR country. Try it and get back to us. Because, I did try it, and my country is not on that list. |
| dallis | 06-22-2017 05:16 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings I've never done private listings, but you may be correct, they may show up as 'sold' but the specifics may be hidden. |

I go to Shipping details -> Edit Shipping policy -> Create exlusion list -> you can now choose and exclude your country. |
| Aguero | 07-11-2017 10:18 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Hi guys,
I did this but my current listing are visible when i check it from Bulgarian IP.
1 My eBay>Account>Site Preferences>Selling preferences>Buyer requirements>Buyers in locations to which I don't ship (check box to block buyers). And i did also "Apply above settings to active and future listings."
2 My eBay> Account>Site Preferences>Shipping preferences>Exclude shipping locations from your listings
Any ideas how to proceed ? |
| dallis | 07-11-2017 01:54 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings The system isn't really designed to do this.
Why don't you list in another country and exclude your own? |
| Aguero | 07-11-2017 01:58 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Thanks for quick response.
What do you mean in another country ? There is no eBay Bulgaria. I list on .com or .co.uk |
| dallis | 07-11-2017 05:33 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Now we're getting somewhere.
The box says " I don't ship to XXX place " , not " Don't show my listings to XXX place".
Note the difference. They can see it. You just don't ship there. Be warned, I have people circumvent my buyer location block, I don't know how, but they've done it.
There is NO mechanism I've ever seen preventing a listing from SHOWING in a particular place. |
| Aguero | 07-12-2017 03:17 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings OK. Thanks again. Not a good news.
If anybody knows if there is a way to hide my listings in my country, please help. |
| Dufus | 07-12-2017 09:04 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Well it works for me. Try checking your listing from different pc. |
| Aguero | 07-23-2017 12:30 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Don't worked for me. |

| Usually how it works is the listing is only visible in the country you put the listing up on. Then you have the option to increase that visibility on other ebay sites (i.e. UK, US etc.).
To achieve what your trying to do, you'll need to work backwards with this approach, i.e. register elsewhere, so you can prevent your listing showing up in your own country.
Hope that makes sense. :thumb: |

Look into ebay shops, and setting QTY to 0 to temporarily deactivate listings. Quote:

Example: If I registered on eBay.co.uk, then eBay.com, eBay.ca etc. users usually wont see my listing, and vice versa. But I can choose to show them on other eBay sites if I opt to post to those locations.
Just a little reverse thinking, and you will get there. |
| Aguero | 08-16-2017 03:36 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings My old account is registered in .at and when i make listing it is visible when i searched it from home. I tryed to exclude my own country and set up with buyer requirements, but my listing was still visible. |

Also are you making sure the listing has all international shipping options turned off etc.? - may be a good idea to try that, and search a few hours later just to make sure the feature works.
The premise is that you shouldn't be able to search something on ebay, that wont be deliverable to you. i.e. I cannot search something on eBay UK, that is only delivered in Australia. But I have come across listing based in Australia that deliver to the UK at an additional cost. |
| Aguero | 08-16-2017 01:38 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Most popular here are .com and .co.uk
In my listings all international shipping options are not turned off :(
But if i turn them on probably nobody will buy from me.
Another thing in my mind is when somebody browse/search in eBay without log into his account what will he see ? |

| Could you reiterate that please? From the sounds of it you probably meant to say International shipping options are turned on, and if you turn them off nobody would buy from you.
What I meant was, you should try turning it off, then doing the search a few hours later to test the method I mentioned - to ensure it works. Then you can mess around with settings to see what works for you best later. Quote:

| Well it depends where they go. i.e. ebay.co.uk (only items posted to UK) |
| Aguero | 08-17-2017 04:07 AM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings Yes, you understanded me correct.
Now i get it. Slow but i get it :)
I will turn off International shipping options and will do search for the managed listing after hours. I will write after that. |

Let us know how it goes. |
| Aguero | 08-18-2017 04:04 PM | Re: Listings visibility / hide current listings I made test listing with International shipping options turned off in .co.uk and shipping was avaliable only to UK in the listing. I made search in .co.uk , .com and .de and the listing are not visible. It wokrs :thumb: Thanks again.
Now i should figgure out how to set the listing to be not shown in my country and also shipping avaliable to many countries. I tryed to exclude it from shipping list before and setted up also buying restrictions for compatriots, but didn't worked for me.
Have a nice weekend :) |
