eBay as only source of income

How many stealth accounts do you run and what is the average limit on each account? I'm just wondering how many accounts I need to make a full time income from selling online. I currently have two and both are selling stuff in clothing category. I'm looking to stretch my products to other categories and create a couple more stealth accounts. My business model is dropshipping since I live in Hong Kong.

Drop shipping is problematic, and as you scale so will your problems.

Only you can answer how many accounts and how much you will need to make on each one that you need, but it's a matter of simple math.

I ship items from my home but I only buy the item when some one places an order, so I'm not sure if it's really considered dropshipping but processing time is extended due to the way I do business.

How many days does it take to obtain the items? What happens if your supplier is out of stock?

You will encounter very similar problems as drop shipping. I would make your handling time what it should and make it clear in the description.

How many accounts you will need will vary, by us telling you what we have doesn't really help you in any way.

First, he IS shipping directly. Second, what exactly are you wanting him to do? If someone can't afford to have inventory, they aren't wasting profit. They wouldn't have had profit to begin with.

That isn't drop-shipping.

I started that way many years ago, and soon found when I sold something and went to buy it often is was bought up in the time I waited and was no longer available. People were not happy.

I eventually realized I could buy it, have it and ship it if it sold, and return it if it didn't. I could always turn around and buy it again to extend the window.

Just keep track of your return window, and keep a few on hand.

Assuming you have that kind of capital tho. Most start ups don't. Just have to make sure you keep track of your inventory. I've gotten in trouble with my OWN inventory, because I wasn't keeping track. Same thing. Just keep track.

Also have to have multiple accounts. If people aren't happy, then oh well. Bad business, sure, but it doesn't have to kill your entire business.
