eBay account holder name change
Hi guys,
I am asking a lot these days. Please excuse me.
Will be a red flag if i change the name of account holder in eBay after account was aged for 2-3 months ? I tryed before to change the address on old accound and there was no troubles. I am not sure what will happend if i change the first and last name.

If you try to change the name, they will most likely start to ask for documents. |

You are so fast : ) Thanks a lot. I can think of something else.
I want to be seen as e German seller. I will try to send Bulgarian ID with German/Austian name to PayPal when i hit EU limits. I made already Bulgarian eBay and PayPal. We will see what will happend. I really hope they will accept the docs. There is nationality by birth but also by naturalization. This is my hope : ) |

The only things you can usually get away with changing on eBay/PayPal are phone number, password, email.
Changing anything else, i.e. addresses, names will most certainly result in some form of limitation. This doesn't always happen right away, but will eventually. |

You CANNOT CHANGE THE NAME.
I mean, you can, but only if you want to be limited/susended.

| A drastic change in address country might hit you with a limitation, but I wouldn't think changing an address alone would be an issue as people do move.
Name change, outside of women getting married it's probably best to avoid that. |

I have changed the address and country on an old non stealth eBay account and there was no problem at all. Of course if account is new will be a problem for sure. May be also if i logged from another country IP it will be a red flag and they may call me to check that the account is not stolen or some kind of fraud. |

Address and country are a variable, ie you might move.
People don't change their names. ( other than, as someone mentioned, women may... maybe men change their name these days too, don't really know about that though ).
In that case, though, only the last name would usually change.
Still think it's a bad idea. No possible gain, only downside risk, so why do it? |

What I mentioned was the general rule of thumb.
It is risky to change anything beyond that, i.e. name , as it flags up as potentially account being transferred to someone else, which is frowned upon by eBay.
They can then make a doc request, and those as you probably know won't always go in your favour.
So if you have a fully fledged account at stake, don't take the risk. :) |

| I wanted to make eBay account with Bulgarian name and after few months to change the name to German. This way i was thinking i can skip Schufa check. They matched the name and address with information you provide when registering account in eBay. They are credit bureau in Germany. The biggest imo. I just wanted to be seen as German citizen and seller. |

How about just making another account with the info that you want instead of changing names and info etc?
I think this is a better ans safer solutiuon, not to mention, you'll have an extra account to work with |

You don't need to ignore my post. If you want to decrease Suspend chances
If you want ebay trust you and dont suspend account. You have to send documents |

| Stealth means you just make up a name. I've got accounts which are top rated seller, several years old, made with names that don't exist - and it's working just fine. :) |

Who can say. I did it for one of my accounts a couple of years ago, and that account is still going strong, better than ever infact. However maybe I've just been very lucky. If you really need to do it, then do it, but remember it is a risk... Quote:

more bogus/false info. ive changed the name and years later the account is a powerseller and doing really well.. |
