Ebay Supsended and Paypal Accounts
 

1. I had an ebay account suspended with a paypal account which was never suspended

2. I created a new ebay account which is running with a new paypal account

3. I have been buying with my old suspended ebay account and printing shipping labels with my new paypal account on the same machine (different browsers) and have not run into issues. (i list from ebay from the library)

4. Today I logged into both paypal accounts within a minute of each other

Since my old paypal account was never flagged will it raise a flag because I logged into both account today on the same IP? Thus far I have seen no evidence that my old paypal account that was associated with my suspended paypal account gets flagged, but I am getting paranoid.

Bottom line: Does a good paypal account that was used with a bad ebay account get flagged if the paypal account was never suspended?

It is common practice when either your PayPal or eBay gets linked to start fresh. It doesnt matter how good the PayPal or eBay account is they have at some point been linked with a limited/banned account so IT COULD and at some point will likely cause an issue.

As for the IP's, if you have logged into a working account with the same IP of which you have logged into a limited/banned account I would say the chances of the working accounts being linked is fairly high.

If a lot of time has passed since then your IP has most likely changed, if you have not cleared your metadata a link would still be made.

To simply answer your question, the chances are yes they may well be linked which will cause a limit/suspension/ban.

ty for you response. This may be true, but I am surprised that I am printing shipping from my new paypal account and it hasn't linked yet. Basically I am buying from my banned account and printing from my new paypal account. I am sure I will get linked at some point. Its just so difficult to run an account strictly from the library. Maybe they aren't linked because IP address is not enough. Afterall, the IP address is just the address of the router and could be used for thousands of computers.

Library and other public hot spots are usually flagged fast.

You've already been linked, the question is when will they shut you down.

Probably best to create a new EB PP pair on a new user account and ID and get it ready to go when the inevitable occurs.

Don't keep any money in your PP, they'll seize it when they shut you down and hold if for at least 180 days if not forever.
