paranoid newbie when creating stealth account

thanks for the valuable information in this forum I can created a new ebay account recentlly. With fire fox, cc cleaner, dial ip, real address id and new phone number,

But I am quite paranoid and nervous about one issue

As dial up speed really killing me, after sign out from ebay via dial connection,
I use boardband to sign up auctiva, when auctiva ask me whether generate token. as I just paused down and close the browser and delete cookies. and change back to dial up and continue generate the ebay token.

when log into ebay account, ebay asked me to receive a automated call

will my account got flagged as my sign up using boardband and generate token by dial up?

I don't think they will distinguish. Infact, I know the won't auctiva won't share your IP info with ebay.

But just for future reference, when creating new accounts you should go on ahead and generate your auctiva token right then and there, and verify the new number and everything. This eliminates the hassle of having to do it at a later time.:peace:

There's two schools of thought regarding the Auctiva token.

1. do it right away, IP and everything will be matching.
2. new account shouldn't be a listing pro, so doing it right away waves flags.

Think it over and weigh your needs against the risk you are willing to take.

may be i should just list as plain text , thanks for the opinion
as I am really nervous like doing some thing bad

This is incorrect, as Auctiva has a different IP from your where you setup your ebay account. That is why whenever you request a token ebay has to call and confirm. EVEN if you have alreay confirmed your phone number prior with ebay.

Correct, take it slow. Spread your listing through several accounts. I list about 5 per week on each account and it's working out so far.

Agreed with Vic... To be on safe side, try to go through pain listing few items first on slow dial up... Wait few weeks before you sign on to auctiva and generate toke. Otherwise, Auctiva will not share your broadband IP with ebay, so no worries.

Maybe make the listing using the sell form in ebay. Keep it simple and use colors and fonts. Each listing could look better than the last. Then go with Auctiva after you have a few sales made.

Yeah, dialup sucks. But you shouldn't have to be stuck with it for long.

I had the same thing happen to me today, So I have a new problem, I do not sound like the name on the account would sound like!!! Any help would be great. I just moved and do not know anybody at all to ask to take the call.

lakeman 05-15-2009 06:43 AM

Did you think about this when you created the account? Just try your best to sound like you need to.

I do this;

make vcc address,
make paypal and verify it,
make ebay account, phone verify and auctiva at same time.
List slow one month later.
