Your eBay account is temporarily restricted while we verify your information
 

Hi Everyone,

I received an email saying "Your eBay account is temporarily restricted while we verify your information"

I called ebay and they wanted to ask me some questions through a 3rd party verification system,

there is no way to pass this since my account is stealth,

what should i do? ebay removed all my listings.

Not sure all I did was call in to get my account adjusted to accept credit cards

Probably not. You can try to pass the questions, I suppose, nothing to lose you're already toast, I suppose you can't get MORE toasted.

Wait....what?

Why didn't you just accept credit cards via PayPal?

If you try to get eBay set up to accept credit cards through a 3rd party payment processor, they're going to REQUIRE you to verify your identity to avoid fraud and other issues, obviously.

That shouldn't need to be said.

They usually remove the restriction even without passing the database verification. Just make up an excuse saying that you weren't staying where you are for the past 6 months and that' you're trying to sell a simple item. It usually always work.

I've called in on over a hundred times....never had a single restriction on ANY account.

But I've also never asked to accept credit cards on my eBay accounts. What the guy asked was to turn his account into a merchant/business account, and for that, you do have to verify.

I didn't even ask I just told him I had my gateway and payment professor setup and that I got a message saying to contact customer service to have my account adjusted.

Have you tried calling to get it resolved?

You can probably just send in your "license" to get it fixed, if you get what I mean...

I already called they wanted to ask me 3 security questions related to the stealth home address, I'm afraid i will not pass it so i am going to pay someone to do it for me

You can't pass questions they can't even ask.

There's no person in existence. They can't ask the questions. You don't get that?

All their going to ask is your name, address and where you get items from. They also ask if your going to use paypal and USPS to ship. Just call, hopefully you have all the stealth info written down.

You don't even need to write it down. You can just go to your account information in a separate tab pulled up before you call....people make this so complicated.

I'm guessing they are just going to ask basic questions.

It's really unbelievable how strict I've gotten this past year I don't see how they're getting the new sellers at all
