How to find selling limits? (Without listing an item)
 

I'm trying to figure out how to determine the selling limits on a new account without creating a listing. I usually throw up a random book that's sitting around my house but it occurred to me that there must be a way to determine this or the accounts I've purchased wouldn't show their limits since none of them have had any history. Does anyone know how to "initiate" the limit algorithm without listing a random item?

Your limits should automatically show even if you haven't listed an item, so long as you've fully completely the registration process. This means phone verified and payment set up for seller fees. I created a handful of new accounts this past week and my 5/500 limit shows for all of them even without listing something (when completing registration as described above).

Now, in the past when I first started out, I noticed sometimes an "absence" of seller limits... this was usually because I had not linked a payment source for my ebay fees, I had used text plus for phone verification, etc. But if you register your account properly (including NOT using VOIP for phone verification), you should see them no problem

I went back and looked, and according to my spreadsheet, the only accounts I have without selling limits displayed are ones where I haven't listed anything yet, and I always link the PP when I open the account and never use VOIP.

Still, things may have changed. The last batch I created was last summer.

OP did you ever figure this one out? I ran into this issue yesterday when creating an account and trying some new methods.. I was able to list but saw no seller limit after I did so

Does this mean my account is unlimited? :) (probably not)
