Default New posting format & Insertion Fees.

Hi everyone, I just started up my ebay store as a dismantler and have a few questions.

First, seems like there is a new posting format.
The other day, for the first few posts I was having to enter my shipping info, my paypal payment email, and all sorts of options had to be filled manually.

After a while, it seemed like things were saved as a pre-set and all I had to do was add the condition, the description and prices, it went by much faster.

Now today, I am back to square one having to fill in each option one by one. The selling page format also changed, when I go to post a draft, the selling page does not look the same and is more confusing.

How can I get all my options pre set and go back to the old selling format?

Second of all, I thought insertion fees were charged once an item sold?
I looked at my ebay invoice/summary just now and am being charged .30cents on each item I post now. Some of these parts will take time to sell, or probably never sell. Is the only option to buy a selling account?

Sorry for the long story, but if anyone could help me of give me info, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

If you have a store, that doesn't mean you don't have a fee... it's included in the price of the store.

The store subscription only covers certain basic listing fees, there are lots of extras involved you can inadvertently add on.

When you finish the listing form, it says at the bottom what it will cost in blue, you can click on it and see why it is costing what it costs and edit appropriately.

You pay the insertion fee whether the item sells or not. You pay lots of additional fees IF it sells.

How would buying a selling account keep you from having to pay the insertion fee?

You need to save the listing as a template, or use 'sell similar' to have all those settings carry over, otherwise you start from scratch every time.

Sorry, I was wrong, I did not start an ebay store, I meant to say I just started selling on ebay. my first 50 items were free to post, after that I am paying just the insertion fee, .30cents. The only way around this is to get a monthly subscription to an ebay store to get 250 free posts a month.

This month my first 50 items were free, is it like this every month? 50 free items each month?

How do I save a template?
I have only figured out how to save the sales tax option, and my paypal email address.

It would be cool if I could preset shipping, handling time and buy it now format.

Thank you for the reply by the way.

At this point, yes, and they frequently have listing promotions as well. I have a lot of accounts where I just use my 50 free and the promotions and nothing else, once they're gone I'm done for the month.

When you get to the bottom of the sell form I believe there's an option to 'save as a template', but the easiest thing is to use one of your listings and the 'sell similar' option.

Thanks for the help and info.

I might finish posting this month and see if I use up my 50 free listings next month and subscribe to an ebay store if needed, or just post on my other accounts.

I just noticed, if I switch from advance listing to quick listing tool, the fees say "free" just a glitch or is quick listing free?

I usually post items from my phone and save them as drafts and revise them later.

On some items saved in my drafts, when I open them to revise and post, it sends me to a weird selling format with the letters "cgi" in the URL link.

I prefer to revise on the selling page with "bulksell" in the URL link.

any idea why some drafts take me to cgi and others to bulksell?

I never use my phone to list, so I have no answer for that. :(
