Listings are ghosted...
 

Tried to list from two different ebay accounts, both are with 0 feedback, one of them is 30+ days old, however items on both accounts are not searchable (ghosted)...any suggestions? Accounts are not linked with each other 100%..

If they have no history, the listing will be reviewed before being sent live.

Even on aged accounts there's a notice when you complete a listing that it may take up to 24 hours for your listing to show up in search results. They don't manually review listings (if that were the case I would have lost many accounts after the first couple of listings) - it just takes time for eBay's servers to propagate your listing throughout their site-wide search results.

It will take upto 24 hours for the listings to be visable

Just have to wait it out :)

Got to agree. Patience.

Of course, there's also the whole rolling blackout theory, some people can't find their listings at the best of times.

Throttling only occurs on aged and bigger accounts. This is just that is takes a while for ebay to get it up plus it will be reviewed being new.

Throttling is intentionally slowing sales by not showing their listings as often or at all.

Rolling blackout is when server overload shuts down listings from a particular region or geographical area in favor of another region, for example when all your sales come from California for 24 hours.

I'm not clear that throttling doesn't apply to new accounts and my suspicion is that is applies mostly to categories where the available product is over saturated.

If you were EB and there were only two listings for a particular widget, which would you show buyers, a $60 item that sells 60% of the time, or a $60 item that has no history at all?

I have competing accounts. We will use an exact example. PSE Stinger-x compound bow package. Sometimes one account will sell 10-20 in a single day while two other accounts will not show in an ebay search.

That is what I mean by throttling.

New accounts do not seem to be throttled. Reason seems to be that they need new sellers to experience some success. Only feeding my bully type mega accounts sales and choking the new guy, well, the new guy will never list another item again. Much like most of us dont give new websites any effort because we simple dont get any sales.

What happens after listing got reviewed? Is it just left unsearchable or they take it down? I'm not sure but I checked listings one day after I listed them and it still was not searchable...

ALL new listings on new accounts are reviewed before going up. Takes a day or so. Sometimes less and sometimes more.
