Hey Hey,
I need help from seasoned sellers
I am leaving Sunday for a 7 day cruise, Hubby has banned me from ebay. So no internet on ship for me,
Any thoughts on placing store on vacation mode vs changing handling times?
did you have better luck one way vs other?

placing it on vacation is smarter since you will not be able to answer questions either

you should be more protected on a vacation setting than a long ship/process time

my thoughts!

Yes, set it on vacation mode so buyers will see the message at the top of your listings.

I agree with the vacation mode. If you change the handling time, it is possible eBay could lower your position in search, since they're all about fast and free delivery within 4 days (and setting your handling time to anything above 1d will mean you dont meet that criteria)

Vacation mode, definitely.

Be aware though, people can still see and purchase your listings from Google and some other search engines, it doesn't prevent that, I had quite a shock once when I came back from being out of town and saw all the sales that were rapidly aging.

Vacation settings DO NOT hedge against slow shipping ratings. If you state 1 day handling time, ebay expects 1 day handling time even if you use the vacation settings.
