Same listing title on different ebay accounts?
 

OK so I dont know if this is just me. But I think im starting to see a trend here.

So I think my paypals are getting limited because of the ebay title name of the item im selling: for example

"Used shoes never used"

then on the other account

"pre-owned shoes never used"

then on the other account

"mint condition shoes never used"

could this cause limitation within paypal?

also the listing description is very similar just a few words changed up....

Pretty unlikely. Those kind of titles are highly generic, there may be 10,000 'used shoes', and I doubt PP watches EB listings to link people.

You've probably linked them in some other way.

No, not really, unless you're up against account limits.

He probably has lots of inventory he wants to move.

The OP isn't listing used shoes. He's listing say something like:

"Used Xbox One Elite 1TB Hard Drive Plus Controller and 1 Game Great Condition"

then

"Pre-Owned Xbox One Elite 1TB Hard Drive Plus Controller and 1 Game"


etc.

To answer your question:

YES eBay can detect very similar listings, ESPECIALLY if your photos are the same or if you use the same camera (using EXIF data they can track it came from the same camera)

I always remove the data...so the only thing they see is image name and image size

He didn't say he was having a problem with EB being limited, though he may have meant that.

And he used the 'used shoes' example.

Certainly if he's listing game consoles he's in a different risk profile and PP will notice that added risk.

I'm don't know if PP cares about duplicate images... although EB certainly cares...

The only way I could see Paypal even remotely linking account is simply through ip most of the time. The VPN could be dropping out or the browser could be leaking saved information.

eBay and PayPal communicate.

I've had PayPals limited while eBay remained fine. PayPal told me eBay asked them to limit my accounts due to what I was selling..

You're missing the point: He's not selling shoes. He's selling some other more unique items. Shoes or Xboxs or fidgets---doesn't matter, point is the titles are the same.

So I have never had an ebay account limited in my life surprisingly I have 40 running at one time. It may be the item.....just or something I am doing wrong with my pp accounts....I am trying something new...will keep you guys updated...

That's not the reason. I'm listing with similar or even same titles on few of my ebay accounts. No issues for years now. You're probably doing something else that Paypal doesn't like.

Which is what I said... PP doesn't really care about listing titles.
