getting approved by vero

Any inputs on how to get approved by the rights owner to sell branded items on ebay? I can provide all the proof they need its authentic but sadly as we all know first you have to list the item on ebay then have it taken down is that correct? Only then you are given the contact information some email of the rights owner to appeal your case. What happens if rights owner never replies or the emails you send go to an no longer used email address. I was reading somewhere that you can request a form from ebay to counter the vero and basically there you formally admit that what you re selling is authentic. If you are not taken to court or no legal action is taken against you then ebay must relist your item that was removed after 10 business days, is that true?

Well....
1. list your items
2. When VERO takes you down, send them your docs
3. Wait for response
4. Done

I've never heard of such a policy but that would be awesome if it's true.

Sending email's to the Vero contact has NEVER worked for us and we've done it multiple times. Companies have little respect for unauthorized retailers so I get the impression most vero-response emails are simply ignored.

Only way I know of to sell vero-monitored products without problems is to become an authorized retailer for whatever company's products you're wanting to sell. Impossible process for smaller sellers. Try reaching out to the manufacturer in some other way than responding to their VeRO emails.

Let's be honest, you can do everything within your powers....hell you can even abduct the VERO Agent......in the end it's up to the VERO agent to accept your docs or to accept your item to be sold.

So you think this ebay vero counter notice he talks abous is bs? No way that after filling it and if no legal action is taken against you ebay wlll list your item back in 10 business days?

Haven't watched the video yet, but if this is their policy then this is their policy. I think it's at least worth a shot.

After thinking it over a 2nd time, I'm not so sure if this will work. Almost every vero takedown we've ever been hit with was for a "trademark" or "design mark" violation. They never mention counterfeit products but instead say the listing was removed because we aren't authorized by the manufacturer to sell their products.

So I don't think you would be able to successfully appeal unless you get permission from the manufacturer to sell their stuff.

Still though, nothing to lose by trying this out!

What I'm trying to say is, There is no guarantee that a counter notice will work....With anything.....you will have to just do it and see what happens. It may work for you, who knows.

I think if it were real everybody would be doing it.

I think it's just youtube hot air.

The whole point of VERO is preventing guys like us from selling branded products.

Distributors often pay huge bucks to carry a product line, and usually have to be vetted extensively.

EB is only interested in enforcing VERO owners rights. They have no interest in you, and won't give you the time of day on this issue.

No it actually can work. It will not work for trademark claims however.

No it actually can work.

And you have done this yourself?

Please demonstrate your credentials on this.

I'd like to see exactly how you overcame this, and the hard proof. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Re: getting approved by vero

I'm starting to think that a competitor is signing up as a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ VERO agent (falsely representing someone else's rights) and filing VERO unauthorized LISTINGS (there's a difference) against me.

I'm thinking of trying this out in an effort to combat it. It sure does seem like a competitor but has anyone actually had success with filing a counter report?
