eBay and PP police during the holidays
 

So I'm just wondering, we're all anticipating a big bump due to Holliday sales. But how does this factor into PP/eB monitoring of your accounts? Specifically the whole "we have detected an unusual increase in sales and are limiting your account until xxxx". Does PP/eB cut you some slack during the holidays? Is it the opposite? Any input is appreciated!

I haven't noticed them being any more strict than usual ("usual" is extremely non-strict generally) during the Christmas season. They're more focused on scam buyers/sellers taking advantage of one another this time of year. The buyer/seller protection programs get flooded and it seems eBay spends most of their time dealing with those issues.

The best thing to do is having multiple accounts that you can manage and be very fast on shipping and provide good service.

I have never had issues on increased volumes, but I also ship very fast.
So be disciplined about it.

I've always noticed opening new accounts over the holiday is harder, but that could just be me, I don't open or start using or previously unused accounts from November until mid January.

This isn't true each year, but ebay/paypal often cracks down on new accounts during the holiday season.

Best to start aging accounts now for the big bump in sales
