Automatic payment issue

Hello all,

I have a stealth with bank details attached to PayPal etc as normal. No account issues. Have had this ticking along nicely for months.

I'm trying to list items but the system keeps telling me I've missed something when I try and list. It flashes up red and says I've not attached an auto payment method for seller fees. I've gone through the process to allow this and I get the message 'you have now set up an auto payment' but it seems to reset and yet again the listing fails with the same message.

What am i doing wrong??

Do you have a card attached also?

If not, add one and try it again.

Oh no I don't just account

I'm not saying that this is definitely the issue but it's worth a try.

It's normal. It usually happens if a payment is declined.

Just set it back up so it takes from your paypal balance in the "my eBay" preference.

This is normal, but that's not why it's happening ^^

You need to add a card to eBay and let them test-charge it. They want a backup payment method on file so they have an alternative way to get money from you if your Paypal ever goes negative.

Add the card in EBAY. You can add it in Paypal also but adding it to eBay is what matters most here.

Problem in PayPal I have seen is that when I add a card it asks for card details AND address. It fails unless the address is right. If I add my real address the game is up!??

How do I do this without them contacting me and without using my real address?

You've got the answer. Add a card. Use a visa gift card.

Contact the seller.

I was under the impression you made the account.

I've encountered a similar issue on ebay uk today. I tried to change the automatic payment method from card to Paypal and whilst I am getting the user agreement through via email, the payment method is not updating on ebay.

I would imagine it's the same issue the OP is experiencing.

Could be that the card is expired or needs updating - follow what phaz0rz stated

Thank you, will do. If I input the card details from my account created for this purpose I'll need to put my address in which is my real address. Won't this link me?

We use prepaid visa gift cards in USA for this. You register them to a zip code, then you can use any address in that zip code.
