Address That Can Accept Returns

Hi and thanks in advance for any help

I have someone who will let me use their address, but they wont accept my returns. This wont be a huge amount, but enough that I need to get them!

in the past I have had a different registered address and then messaged the person the address I need the return to. Would this be a complete no no for stealth, can the system pick up a linked address mentioned in a message.

alternatively I will have to get a virtual mail box, but will this be a problem having to register in my own name, already linked to blocked accounts. I might be able to use Matt instead of Matthew, would that be ok to stop the system linking.

Thanks

Cockles

1. I would stop sending messages through eBay with your real address... yes, they can read it and can pick up on it.

2. A variation of name would be fine.

Many thanks. Ill open a mailbox under a shortened name. It will mean a bus trip into the city centre once a week!

Usually I will email them a form with the real address or include a return slip with the package

Forward the PO box to your real address, no need to drive in every week.

As mentioned, send a returns slip to them with your real address. You can do this via email (just go to their paypal payment to find there email)

Or get a virtual address and add it to the returns section of your ebay account

There's not much point using a friends address if he won't accept returns.

You can do this? I'm pretty sure I asked USPS if this was possible and they told me it wasn't

I'm having this same issue - my items are furniture so it can hardly go in a letterbox :/. Nightmare

Hello dear friend. The best option for you will be to make stickers on each box with the inscription "Returns are accepted to the address xxxxxxx"
I strongly do not recommend you to write this through ebay messages.
Simply glue the sticker on each shipment.

I used to do this, but it was several years ago. Perhaps my advice is outdated, I apologize if that's the case.

Maybe you can do it online and avoid the 'no no' clerk....

It used to work, but the post office operates in its' own universe... :)
