Low cost Business Entities to get EIN

I know LLCs and Corps are easy to set up to get those EINs (I have a few already), but they're a bit more costly than I'd like. In my state the costs to file these start at 125-200, and then there's all types of other small fees they hit you with.

Besides LLCs/Corps, are there any other business entities you guys use on your eBay accounts that require you to give an EIN? Low setup cost, I'm talking about

Would love more DBA/sole props, as they're only 30-some bucks where I'm from, but apparently these type of entities all require you use the same EIN

Open EIN's in cheaper states. My LLCs are all the way across the country because it's cheaper. I only waste my time opening them if the stores/accounts are pretty healthy with no issues.

How do you go about getting an ein? I have an account asking me for ssn or ein, I could really use some help.
