eBay: What is the rate of sales measure?
I had chat with customer support trying to get answers - pathetic.
Number one determining factor of who appears at the top of searches is: sales rate.
(Correct title and keywords needed of course)
Item ABC
Seller A has sold 50,000 over the past 5 years. Currently sells at a rate of 3 a day now.
Seller B. He is a new seller. He sells at a rate of 10 a day.
As far as a I know, Seller2 will sit at the top of search results.
Like seller status - i.e. top rated seller (very important as far as I know) and description... and other things do matter - but the sales rate is the king determiner?
Question: what is the evaluation period? Is it the last 7 days sales?
(I'm sure I read this somewhere - just can't remember!)
The guy who I spoke to on chat said the sales frequency had NOTHING to do with the sales ranking! :noidea:
