Have you ever had any problem with 24vc?Like any shut down that reveal your real ip ? |
SaiJin | 09-22-2017 01:31 AM | Re: 24vc and disconnection I prefer to use IPBURGER personally. Plus it belong to this forum.
And yes. |
Re: 24vc and disconnection You need to ensure you setup killswitches properly. Instead of using configuration settings under firewall etc., where possible, try to get a standalone software that deals with this if you want to be super safe. |
Re: 24vc and disconnection Hi, no matter what vpn company you use there is always a small chance it could disconnect, but you can easily protect against drops 100% by doing the following:
One of the most simple ways to do so would be to use software that will automatically close your browser in the event of a dropped connection. Below is a list of a few software companies that are well known for doing just that: http://www.ugdsoft.com/products/vpnwatcher http://vpnetmon.webs.com/ http://www.guavi.com/vpncheck_free.html
Also if you're using Windows you can simply use the built in firewall to configure your browser to not have internet access in the event that the vpn connection drops. This is probably the best way to protect against drops as it doesn't depend on third party software, below you can find a simple tutorial on how to set it up: http://www.24vc.com/guide?v=how-to-b...on-vpn-traffic |
sriwaheguru | 09-22-2017 04:07 AM | Re: 24vc and disconnection Or You can setup it manually. |
Re: 24vc and disconnection iptables –S
-P INPUT DROP
-P FORWARD DROP
-P OUTPUT DROP
-A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -s 55.55.55.55/32 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -i tun0 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -j DROP
-A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT
-A OUTPUT -d 55.55.55.55/32 -j ACCEPT
-A OUTPUT -o tun0 -j ACCEPT
-A OUTPUT -j DROP
55.55.55.55 = VPN IP
ppp0 or tun0 = virtual network adapter |

dachilla | 09-22-2017 08:12 AM | Re: 24vc and disconnection Does anybody have a solution for Windows XP kill switch. All that I tested are ****e or don't work. |
Re: 24vc and disconnection Have you tried making your own using netsh firewall through the command line? I think it will work with XP.
It'll take a lot of google searches to figure out though... |

Any of those software you'd recommend in particular? |

HAHlala | 09-25-2017 04:57 PM | Re: 24vc and disconnection Anyone have any systems that work with Mac OS? I tried 'VPN watcher' but when I download it it just shows me my wifi connection and not the VPN connection and can't figure out how to get it working. The rest just seem to be for windows. |
Re: 24vc and disconnection im using the OpenVPN set-up. Never had any disconnections/dropping since i used 24vc. Just had a minor issue with leaking DNS, but i already figured it out. |

Remember, idle can be your enemy on a VPN. I have noticed, if it is going to disconnect, it will be during idle times. |
