Default New tactic by competion???

Hmmm..Ive been noticing a SHARP increase in the number of non-paying bidders, The amounts of money I have not recivied due to non paying bidders is obscene.

So I took a deeper look into this and almost 100% of the non-paying bidders are 0 feedback.

At first thought, this is a minor nuisance..BUT my average ticket price is around $270, Meaning my eBay fees are WAAAAY more than I actually owe..

Does anyone know a way to stop this?

You can't block 0 bidders, but what you can do is go to your settings and check PayPal required to bid on your auctions. This will reduce dramatically the number of malicious bidding, cause most of them don't create acc. PP for this purpose.

Also, when you see early on 0 bidders on your auction, you can check where else they bid and see if they are bidding left an right in the same category. If so, they are probably out there to get you and than you can block them before your auction ends.I hope this helps......

With the latest policy change about non-paying bidders, I have changed
95% of my listings to be immediate payment with paypal. After reading this
any of us have to change the best way to sell to beat them

Also in the buyer requirements, you can block buyers who've had policy violations within a given period, and just in case it is competition, block buyers who have won your auctions in the past

Agree with blocking policy violation users but some buyers are return customers: where does it end?

immediate payment required is the way to GO - buying on or offline is an impulsive thing - dont wanna give em a chance to change their mind or find it cheaper elsewhere - I always do my BIN's that way its funny how auctions sometimes go higher than other BIN's on ebay for similar items - but if the buyer finds it cheaper before they checkout they are likely not to pay at all-

Do you think this new policy of not suspending non paying bidders - is all in favour of transforming their marketplace to a more "Amazon" type experience? IE - trying to lure more sellers into using the buy it now/immediate payment required function?

Yeah...what he said.

I checked today to see if my accounts all had the "immediate payment required" block checked. Turns out that is not an option for one of my accounts. I haven't looked into it yet (I only sell BIN) but I think I have to adjust my PP account to some higher level.

Out of almost 2K transactions (many different accounts) in the last year I think I have had only one non-payer. I didn't make a big deal, I just ate the couple bucks in ebay fees rather than spend time and take a risk with that acct.

Have you tried the add/remove options on the page you create a listing. All accounts have same options just not all options show until you activate them to show.

I bumped 2 threads on one subject. That hardly qualifies as a habit.
