Is photo-shopping photo background allowed?

I would like to photoshop my photos so that the background is more 1 color type (like almost white). The goal is to make the product pop.

I won't edit any of the product area. Is this allowed at eBay?

Technically, no editing is allowed.

But you won't get in trouble by editing your photos to have a white background. They prefer professional-looking photos so they can use your photos in their catalog.

I was worried they would have software that detects photos that are edited and then the system triggers them for manual review or something..

But this is good news to me

26 trillion photos, nobody is going to manually review any of them. They're too busy giving bad answers to sellers who call in.

Adjusting your photo isn't a problem.

Adjusting it so it looks better than it is or looks like something it isn't will be a customer problem, not direct an EB issue.
