Selling Limits Based Upon Sales?
 

I recently had a conversation with ebay where they told me that I needed to a certain number of sales not listings to have my listings increased.. Is this a new requirement of ebay and/or has anyone encountered this? Will my limits automatically increase as I increase my listing volume? Seems I need to call in and request a raise each month.

Don't believe everything they tell you. Most of the time they don't even know what the hell they are talking about.

make some sales, get positive feedback, increase your listing vlume little by little.

I think what people are probably saying is that you should list to your limit and, if possible, sell to your limit, and if you keep your nose clean and ship promptly and don't have any issues a bot will measure that performance and depending on various factors schedule an automatic increase.
