Bridge setting VMware

If I use VMware, and want to connect through VPN. Do I need to tick bridge setting and tick the replicate physical network connection state, right? I am really new to this.

I'm using VMWare and a VPN. I just usually connect to the VPN, verify that the VPN IP is what is registered using IP burger. Than open WMWare and the virtual machine. Than on the WM open ip burger and make sure the IP in the WM matches the IP that your vpn assigned.

If it all matches, you're good to go.
