Basically don’t allow contact numbers in the advert. Some items buyers need to contact me.
Any ideas please
Thanks |
nickopedia | 11-06-2017 07:00 AM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert Yep, and if you dare put your phone# or email in eBay messages to your buyers their bots will likely smack down your account. Many reports on here and ecommerce forums of them doing that.
eBay has really been cracking down on off playform sales and are quite agressive about it.
Some members here have suggested you make up business cards with your info and send them out with your orders. |

User220 | 11-06-2017 09:32 AM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert So if you selling an item which is local pick up only or any item which has postage too but the buyer ask to see the item in person before buying them what can be done ? |
dallis | 11-06-2017 07:53 PM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert Sounds like an offsite sale to me, which = dead account.
They're been whacking away at this with a big spiked club for a while now, can't imagine you haven't heard it, it's being talked about everywhere. |
Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert I've see no people leave their number/address in an image and put that in the listing BUT I'm not sure if that's even a viable option anymore. Might have to get creative. |

Thanks | Why can't buyers just contact you via pm and you can easily deal with them on the side? |

If you can't afford that, how are you going to deal with it when you need to refund, get scammed, lose a dispue, etc? |
nickopedia | 11-09-2017 07:08 PM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert If you can't afford a few business cards, it's probably time to take a hard look at your business and cash flow.
OTOH, if you are really pinching pennies, then make your own cards out of cardstock/paper and cut them out. As mentioned above, it's also a good way to encourage your customer to leave you feedback. |

Or you can make a rubber stamp with your contact info and stamp it on the packing slip... |

dallis | 11-09-2017 10:18 PM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert I make labels using my label printer, and use them to seal the package closed so they have to see it to open the product. |

Thanks | I send out a Free vacation certificate or a $1000 Restaurant discount certificate with each order, customized with my contact information on them. They are only $199 to print out an unlimited amount for a whole year and nobody throws them away. It has worked for me for a long time. Same info as a business card but a lot less likely to be thrown away as they don't expire! I also save every email address and load them into a bulk emailer for free. Have to be creative.. |

newjerseymax | 12-15-2017 02:30 PM | Re: eBay don’t allow phone numbers in advert I put my contact info directly into invoice. Its after sale after all so I don't see why it would be a problem. Its attempts to take sales offsite that cause issues. Mainly in eb messages. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:20 AM. | |
