| Kajunrook | 11-06-2017 08:55 AM | Tracking for Countries that dont track There are a host of countries that do not track mail packages, why would ebay charge us the tracking charge when our package is not being tracked. To solve this issue I have been going to paypal and they sell the regular post charge as well as the tracked (in these countries not tracked) postage.
Is anyone besides me aware of this issue.
Just venting. |
nickopedia | 11-06-2017 09:15 AM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track Supposedly if you use the Global Shipping Program (GSP) and ship to eBay's US address, you are covered under seller protection.
I have not encountered any countries that don't have postal tracking of some sort. Where are you shipping? Africa or some far-flung countries in the 3rd world? |
Kajunrook | 11-06-2017 09:34 AM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track LOL France I guess they are a third rate country. I also think Portugal and Spain. |

Kajunrook | 11-06-2017 10:04 AM | Then I was misinformed by EBAY
a pop up says tracking not available for this country. |

nickopedia | 11-06-2017 11:06 AM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track Most countries (especially those in the EU, Austrailia, South America, Asia, etc) have tracking capability. Postal EMS (Express Mail Service) is traceable worldwide. Do your own research before accepting what others, or especially eBay tell you. |
SaiJin | 11-06-2017 03:02 PM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track Even if a country has tracking which is outside of USA, you need to check Paypal's coverage . Some times PP requires you have a signature confirmation and even then it could be iffy. |

Go on Canada Post and Auspost's website. Do you see that big box on either websites that lets you enter a tracking number? |
Kajunrook | 11-06-2017 05:14 PM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track Well dudes I just sent a package to France and when I went to pay in big red letters it says this country does not provide tracking data for mail. So I sent without tracking and the difference in cost was $9 |
dallis | 11-06-2017 07:44 PM | Re: Tracking for Countries that dont track Many USPS packages have tracking, but 99% of my international packages never show any details in the destination country, and never show as delivered on tracking. Once they leave the US they go dark.
It wasn't always this way, but this year it changed.
I have hundreds of examples just like that below, which is for Canada. This particular package took nearly 4 weeks to arrive, and the customer was having fits because the tracking was inaccessible. Even now it shows in USPS as "IN TRANSIT" although it was delivered a number of days ago.
I have to note, though, that I used Bin4ry's link for Canada and it did show up there. I bookmarked it, thank you very much.
Apparently, USPS and Canada's mail don't interface. I know I've tried any number of times to do the same thing in the UK and can't follow it there.

October 2, 2017 20:31:00 Accepted at USPS Origin Facility | A lot of cross border tracking numbers does weird stuff like this. Even if the shipper's tracking service ultimately show the package being delivered, the receiving country's tracking system will always show more in depth tracking. |
