Selling Limit
 

My ebay account is about 2 weeks old....can I call yet for a increase in selling limits?

Or should I wait the 30 days?

The rep may tell you to wait since the account is new, but worth a call with a 5/500 account

yeah its all used up

all i will need is the address on file right and then the rest is basic questions?

Have all the info on the account ready......Name, address, email, all of it.

Please let me know exactly what they ask of you, I called in to increase my limits and they wanted to know my past address. Really not sure why they would want to know that even though I used, new address, new name, new paypal, new bank, new IP, new modem/router, new computer, new ebay account, new credit/debit, entirely new, so I hope for some reason I was linked even though I don't see how. I want to see how your call goes. Please keep me informed.

What exactly should they ask you? They wanted my previous address and I told them I didn't have one and they said even when you were younger with your parents?

calling in is probably the worst thing you can do.

best thing to do is list on multiple stealth and let it all grow.

how would you plan on calling in anyways?

I'm one of those people who is always against having any kind of communication with eBay or Paypal.

Are you in need to make more $$ to survive or you just want a higher limit?
5/500 might be worth it but if they say no and you get limited for any reason, is it worth it to you?

I think that these are the questions you should be asking yourself then you can make the decision.

so I called

they asked if I recently moved to my address

i told them yes

and they asked where I lived before

then a bunch of questions to verify my account live over the phone

asking about old cards and if i new people and addresses

I said no i dont know on most of the stuff

she said she could increase me to 15 per month


sooo we shall see

i gave them an address in another state and told them non of the above for all the questions they asked

gonna make a 2nd account on ebay tomorrow as well

how many times did u call tho?
i called 3 times before, and i got a nice rep, she only asked for my name, email and address, and viola she gave me a $5,000 limit increase from $500 :D

this was my first time....i thought it would be smooth sailing until she was like verify your ebay account with 3 questions which ended up being 6

I am paypal verified and all my mouth dropped at this point

but its still up with the increase so guess it worked

Yeah, I initially got a 10/$750 increase automatically then I had to call in 3 times, the first two times the reps were asking a crap ton of questions about my previous address but I i called during late evening and the rep increased me to 25/$1500 and no questions asked, so IMO call at night. I've seen a lot of people say reps are more easier to work with at night but that just sounds like crazy talk :shocked:

Once you go through that call in process to verify you and you get through it they most likely will NOT ask for it again when you ask for limit increases. The bad thing is that you need to be in 90 days from first feedback to call in again. After that every month on a certain day or after so many days you can call in.
