Safe to use eBay mobile app + w/24VC on iOS or Android previously used by me?
 

Is it safe to use the eBay mobile app on an iOS or Android device that I previously used the eBay mobile app with a banned eBay account? I would erase the device and set it up using a new iTunes/Google account. Can eBay or PayPal look at or have access to the UDID? Can 24VC run reliably on iOS or Android without accidentally getting switched off?

I'm currently using Chrome web browser and a virtual machine running Windows on my Mac and it's painfully slow. Listing items through the eBay mobile app seems to be much much faster IMO, that's why I want to use it. If there's some better workflow, would love to hear suggestions. Thanks!

NEVER use the eBay mobile app.

It is NEVER safe.

Again, avoid at all costs.

Even with a dedicated device? How do they identify you? Do they take pictures of you secretly like Bank of America?

With a dedicated device for one account should be ok but I generally do not trust apps

This. You can use a new device with one account but as soon as it's banned you'll need to ditch the phone.

The apps share your location. So, even if you have 2 different phones for two separate accounts, they would be able to see that the locations were the same.

Not sure if they DO THIS, though.

And maybe you can disable "location services" or whatever on your phone. No clue if that would work because I'm never gonna try it.

No reason to risk it.
