Will I ever be able to sell cables on Ebay again?
 

Markmonitor reported tens of listings in the last couple months on Ebay.de, I had a track for all iPhone cable listings on Ebay and all the reported listings had one thing in common:

They used pictures from Apple.com


The 2 biggest sellers still have their listings up and running, they use the words (Apple,lightning) in their listings with no problem at all.


Through my communications with Markmonitor I came to the conclusion that a listing which uses Apple's original pictures will definitely be taken down.


Now that I know how to list without getting veroed down, my only problem is Ebay and not Apple or Markmonitor.


After my listing got taken down I contacted Ebay and their last reply to me was: forget about iPhone cables, you are not allowed to list these on our marketplace anymore.


Do you think creating a new account with Ebay and relisting will be o.k as long as the new listing will not be reported by Markmonitor?



What could I do to start selling these cables again?

I sure hope not.

Take them to a flea market and scam people in person with them.

I will not list them again as being original. I will list them as generic cables and will make sure that the customer will be 100% aware of this.

I am asking you guys because clearly you have a lot of experience with Ebay. I don't want to relist on my account, the one that had the reported listing.

If I relist on my account again (after making the necessary changes to the listing), I am sure it won't get flagged by Markmonitor or Apple itself. I am rather worried about Ebay itself noticing that I relisted and thus I will get suspended!

Relisting will not be ok - you might function for awhile or you may get contacted again...you aren't cleared by eB and Markmonitor to sell this on eb.

Other ways will have to be thought of by yourself.

Flea market is one idea as ebs74 indicated. Generic cable approach is another.

Man, you gotta be crazy to list them cables with the same account that got ****ed over by apple. Seriously, they're gonna watch every step you take and this could lead to real trouble. If you still have a huge stock or they sell so well and are juicy as f#ck, get a copy of the stealth book, make a decent stealth account and take it from there.
