New ebay accounts keep getting limited
 

Each and every single account I have made this past week gets limited within three days

Not sure whats going on I am posting a piece of makeup the first day I make the account for $3.99 I sell the item and bam I get suspended on ebay

I have always sold this item as my first for years and haven't had a problem until now

I get the email you account has been suspended and can not continue to sell on ebay anymore

What do I do

All numbers, ips, addresses and names are different

New Name?
New Address?
New IP?
New Phone Number (Not VOIP)?
New User Name?
New VCC?

Could be your makeup if its a brand commonly phaked.

Phoned them up they went through a serious of verification questions

The lady was hella cool and reinstated my account.... 20 min later got banned again

Didnt touch the account at all and got banned again

Yes new everything

I used to sell the same makeup for years just to start new accounts its under
I usually start selling as soon as I make the account and NEVER had a problem should I change that up possibly?
Please help been so stressed out about this have bills to pay and kids to feed :noidea:

eBay is attempting to crack down on stealth or suspicious looking sellers - especially around the holidays. Do not list something on the first day, that's an immediate red flag. You need to build up your cookies and browsing history w eBay. Browse around first few days (as an actual NEW eBayer would). Click help links, different auction items, etc. This builds trust w eBay.

Also, I would sell a different first item just to be safe. Old book laying around or something.

It's possible that it's just bad luck.
But it's also possible it's the make up category that could trigger it on new accounts.

If you have followed everything per the stealth guide, try making a new account and list a general item from around your house like a Book or pencil.

See what happens.

No I have had no issues to date.

Full disclosure - I am by no means a seasoned veteran stealther like some of the folks on here. But I have been working slowly and patiently at it, and am following the guide. Been working so far

THIS!....Just had this happen to me too.. a very safe around the house item but i use it alot on my first listing, sometimes it sells and sometimes it doesnt.. Im reading on this thread and another thread, people saying ebay cracks down during the holidays.. Im hoping thats what it is... also accounts where I usually get $25K limits off the top and can start to sell right away... Im not able to get those right now.. I usually never age accounts, but might need to do that or until the holidays blow over..

Wow, same thing is happenning to me! Since 23th every account is getting suspended after the first item (I list 1-5$ item), This has never happened to me, I truly hope it's because Black Friday or something.

Anything new from your side?

However, I noticed that 3 months + accounts actually works and can list successfuly, 3 months or less, boom "Your account has been suspended".

I gave up creating accounts around the holidays year ago, they turn the security up to high and everything you do until after Jan 1 is automatically considered to be suspicious.

Besides, the holidays are when all the crazies come out to buy.

Take a break and rest.

The time to prepare for December and the year end time period starts January 1st, 11 months before.

If you're not set up and ready to run your holiday gigs by July you've already missed the boat.

So you guys are saying this is normal?
And after the holiday season everything will come back to how it used to be?

Can vouch for more heat during holidays. I am also in cosmetics, and it is a tough field to navigate. The brand is huge in how they monitor it. Especially, if they flip the vero switch on that particular item. I've seen whole sections of sellers evaporate over night including myself.

Mine were suspended at random. The ones that I did not have any search history were all suspended after first listing (I list the same day I create the acct). If you're doing everything right, it's probably because you're opening new stealth accounts during the holiday season.
