Ebay selling restriction
 

Ok, so my paypal is about to be suspended for the tax crap and Ebay sent me a message saying:you must take action by December 11 at 11:59pm PT to avoid disruption to your eBay business. If action is not taken by this time, eBay will remove your ability to revise existing listings or launch new listings. Buyers will also be blocked from purchasing items from listings that do not offer another approved form of electronic payment.
My question is...will I be able to receive payments to a different paypal or are ALL paypal payments blocked from my Ebay?

Did you fill out the w-9 form request from Paypal? If not, I would advise you to fill it out as soon as possible.

OP, are you based in the US?

Don't add/use a different paypal - that could be limited as well based on linking.

This is new if vette is right about you already being sent a 1099.

Last year, my eBay just lost the ability to receive payments but it wasn't restricted in any way. As soon as I added Auth.net I was good to go.

No its not a good idea to do that. There two ways you can solve this. Put in a EIN number and you can continue on this account or start a new account or have a friend to help you to sell. Regardless you will need to report taxes once you hit over 20k.

Usually this is the notice you get if you don't respond to the "tax info and IRS info don't match", so it's probably too late to just pop in an EIN.
