Is visiting Aspkin a red flag for Ebay?

I read somewhere that sites that plants cookies in your device can theoretically know what websites you visit.

Do you think that Ebay by their usage of cookies on our devices know that we visit Aspkin.com?

No? But if you're worried about it...don't be on aspkin and eBay on the same device at the same time. Logically you should never directly leave this website and visit ebay/amazon/etsy/paypal, otherwise...eh don't see the threat of having it in my history.

Seems unlikely, how would they know who you are on here unless you used your user name here on EB or something else really foolish...

Oh wait, you posted SO MANY DETAILS about your EB account problems... I mean, how many sellers in Germany sold phake iphone cords, got vero'd, contacted CSR's countless times, then apparently were 'forgiven' and reinstated in the past month or so?

I think they can probably figure out who YOU are without breaking a sweat.

The rest of us are almost certainly safe, though, although we appreciate your concern for our continued well being. :)

I don't think Ebay has an interest in launching a surveillance operation against members on Aspkin :ballchain:

My question was about the cookies Ebay puts in our computers. Could Ebay through these cookies track what websites does one visit?

from what I know they can see only the website visited before

I certainly don't presume to speak for you, Tooknapa, but who wouldn't be deeply appreciative of Walkingupward's deep concerns for our well-being?

Does it matter if you visit here and then eb?

I do not think so... actually if eBay employees would pop in here from time to time, this could help improving their quality of service IMHO.

I would say posting page after page after page of your entire eBay interactions would be more of a concern than a plate of cookies.

I don't think they care about that, they can see it doesn't mean they do. If so , they will maybe ban the people who always check their ip on ipburger or whoer just before connecting their account ;)

Always good practice to have user accounts for each stealth ebay/paypal account. Then use those solely for ebay/paypal.

If need be, have a new user account for browsing sites other than ebay/paypal.

What I understood is that websites put cookies in your device to track what websites you visit and thus be able to show you targeted ads that suit your interest. I think the whole point of cookies is to know what websites does one visit and then send them ads based on what they visit.

For example: I go to Adidas.com now to buy a pair of shoes, I close that Adidas tab and head on to facebook.com, now facebook starts to show me ads for Adidas shoes!

Facebook knew I was on Adidas.com because of the cookies my device accepts from Facebook. These cookies literally follow every website I visit and draw a map of that!

I only accept cookies where it's a must and Ebay is on that list. I am dead sure Ebay knows I visit Aspkin on regular basis. However, I think following following suspended sellers and the websites they visit is not on Ebay's priority list.

It would be awesome though to see targeted ads for ready-to-operate stealth accounts on Ebay :comp5:

I used to use Windows 7, but now I am using my brother's mac for the new account. I tried to set up a virtual machine, but it was kinda slow.

You have to install VMWare tools or your experience will be the worst.

Mac is fine with stealth.

You can set up to be in private mode

I’ll get some info for you.

Read Here:

https://lifehacker.com/5461114/fact-...rowser-cookies

Also google cross domain policy and same origin policy.

Your Adidas Facebook example sucks, because adidas needs to allow facebook to do so, thus it (adidas) must implement a snippet of code in their website which creates a cookie which is readable for both adidas and facebook.

I doubt very much that Aspkin has put a snippet in his website for ebay or others to share cookies.

This technique is called retargeting. Study the technical details here:

https://retargeter.com/what-is-retar...w-does-it-work

Cheers
