Looking for some advice
 

Hey all,

Let me start by filling you in.

So I am 17 and a few months ago I was banned from Paypal for being underage, although I can reopen an account once I turn 18.

Eventually I got a new bank card and made a new PayPal account with a few letters changed in my name, a plausible typo. This worked fine for buying stuff online however I have recently started selling on ebay with this account and I am very paranoid about it getting limited as I will not be able to provide valid ID to release any held funds.

I have been told that I should stop selling and wait till I turn 18 but I have just bought a lot of stock and have been making pretty good money with 4/5 sales a day so I am looking for other options.

A family member who has multiple cards and bank accounts (for legitimate purposes) has offered to make me a new paypal account in their name. The idea being that if that account gets limited I will be able to provide ID, documents etc.. However they already have a paypal account and this account would then be under a different name to my ebay account.

I would like some advice on what you guys think the best way for me to sell on ebay without risking either of my accounts being suspended. Ideally I would like to avoid buying a stealth account and having to use vpns, proxies etc..

Here are some of the options I an currently considering:

• Open a paypal business account under my family member's name as you can have one business and one personal paypal account and then link this to my current ebay account.

• Keep using my current paypal account and just hope for the best.

• Create a new ebay account under the name of my family member and link their newly created paypal account to this (I would like to avoid this as I want to keep my reputation as well avoiding having my family member's name appear under my listings as some are for rolling papers and other paraphernalia).

• Go full stealth i.e buy an ebay + paypal account and use this to sell until I am 18. Again I would like to avoid this as it seems like a lot of work to maintain and the costs are seem pretty high; buying a VBA, paypal account, ebay account and the stealth guide.

If I were you I would wait until I am 18 years old. Hell you're damn young and lucky you that you have developed an interest for e-commerce at this young age. I see a good future for you.

Remember, do as much reading and research as you can before you turn 18 and start your business with your name. Literally keep reading until you reach that age and you will be good to go.
