A few questions on using a hotspot connection

Hi guys,
I recently started using the hotspot on my iphone 6 in order to have a different IP, so just a few questions :

How do you suggest to make the ip of the hotspot change? So far I've been putting Airplane mode for a couple of minutes and it seems to change. Is it the right way to do it?

How do you check if the ip has changed? The way I do it right now is that I write on google 'check your ip' and it comes out.

Do you think ebay gets suspicious if a user keeps changing ip? Do they start suspecting that it's a stealth account?

One thing that I've noticed is that my macbook pro connects instantly to the hotspot. It doesn't ask for the password. Isn't that strange? Or it's because it recognises my iphone?

Thanks

1. Airplane mode or powering the phone down and restarting are the right moves for IP change.

2. ipburger (Aspkin creation) can give you your IP read

3. Not at all (from my experience) - I use dynamic IP all the time, just keep my cookies in place per user account.

4. Not strange - your macbook recognizes your hotspot network...that's fine as long as the IP is different.

Thanks a lot for your answers and your help.
All clear. Just in regards to n.2 ipburger. Isn't that a service that you have to pay? Went to the website but couldn't figure how to check my IP.
cheers!

The word IPBooger auto-links to the ".secure" subdomain now.

@OP - As MM pointed out you need to get off of the .secure subdomain to use the IP-checking feature.

Re: A few questions on using a hotspot connection

Your mac knows your passwords and other info because they're all linked by your apple account.

When I got my children iphones I originally put them under my apple account, and my phone book and other basic info migrated over onto their phones as well as my new phone, without asking me or them.

It continued to synchronize with my phone until they were allowed to have their own apple accounts and passwords, which stopped the synchronization and information migration.
