problem/new user account connects automatically to same wifi of main account

Guys,
I use a macbook pro with the latest OS and I just made a new separate user to start a stealth account.
As soon as I opened it for the first time it automatically connected with the wifi I was connected with my normal user account.
I thought that with a new user account, it would all start from 0, asking passwords for the wifi before connecting.
Any tip on how to fix this?
On my normal user account there is the option that it automatically connects to the wifi of the house. Do I have to remove it? In this way I would have to manually choose and connect the wifi, every single time, for all the accounts.
cheers

Make sure to close browsers when you log off a user account.

Turn WiFi off before switching user accounts, in case you forgot to do the above.

Make sure all web browsers are closed before turning on the preferred Wifi/VPN/etc. Then once you're connected, open the browser and you're safe

etc

Assuming that your "normal user account" is assigned as administrator and the new user accounts you create are just regular user accounts, it should only do this until you change the settings in the new user account to specify a different wifi connection. Then it will automatically connect to that wifi connection on that account but still connect to the original wifi on the administrator account from then on.

Is it necessary to close browsers before switching accounts? Even if the account that I'm using for the stealth has a different connection and everything?

I get the same issue on my Mac I’ve tried everything and can’t find a workaround I just make sure I connect to the right network and use up burger so that you are always aware what up address you are using.

Are you already in trouble if once opened the new user account it immediately connects to the same wifi of the main user? Or it's not a big issue as long as you change it before opening the browser?
cheers

I try to do it, even if it's super annoying. Just to err on the side of caution.

For example, lets say you forget to turn off WiFi before switching user accounts, and then you open a user account which previously had eBay up on your web browser and was never closed. Many times that page will refresh, and if you're corrected to the wrong Wifi address, you'll have just exposed yourself to risk. Better safe than sorry.

Other members might chime in with their own methods, but this has worked best for me

Thanks for that.

Am I still safe if the user account where I'll be using the stealth connects automatically to the wifi of the main account, but I do not open the browser?
Obviously then I would promptly switch to the right wifi before I start working.

Yeah, if the browser is closed, you'll be fine. Cant refresh a page that isn't open.

Why don't you just turn off the 'automatically connect to wifi source' default so you have to manually choose to connect?
