Almost uploaded my first listing when ebay took me to paypal
 

Hello everybody.
My first listing was just about to go online when I was asked to insert the PIN sent on my phone (and it went fine) and then add the card details (going through paypal) and it didn't go well.
The spaces about my name were already filled with my stealth name. Then I put all the accurate numbers of the debit card but the process couldn't go through.
Unfortunately I realised that the new bank account I opened has my real name and paypal obviously has my non real name. If I change the name with my real name, only for the card, I guess paypal would link me.
Did I have to open a bank account on the same name of my ebay stealth? And so not my real name. Is it possible?

That should of worked fine they cannot check names on PayPal for bank accounts. Did you get a error message?

Yes, it said the details of the card were incorrect.

Get a prepaid card and register it with the stealth details and try again.

They don't see the name on the card, they just see if it 'passes' or not.

The name on the card isn't usually a part of the checking process.

In any case you can't open a bank account in a name that isn't yours, even in the UK.

So right now with what I have at the moment, can I use this new bank account that I've opened?

So you suggest me to add my real name when asked for name and details for the card?

I suggested you use a prepaid card with your stealth details.
