Premium store demoted
 

My premium store was demoted to basic store for being below standard. Any way to get this store back up to premium fast? Insertion fees are going to kill me.

Probably not. The exposure hit in search from falling below standard probably means you can't recover, but we'd have to see the stats to be certain.

If I remove the majority of listings and leave the store alone for awhile will they eventually allow me to go back to premium if metrics improve ?

Once your metrics improve you will be allowed to upgrade, but your position in search will never recover.

You'll need to improve whatever it is that you are lacking. So ship fast, get positive feedback.

I'm assuming it's the shipping time that's killing you?

Fighting returns / quality controle. 3/4 sales on amazon and was not taking eBay seriously enough.

Fighting returns is a waste of time and is an account killer.

Either accept them gracefully and move on, or be beaten up and assaulted and then accept them.

Take them back and move on, returns is a part of life in online commerce.

Is there any definitive way to handle eBay returns ? Best way to set settings 14 days , no returns , 30 days ? I need a game plan. Or can buyers put return requests in forever ? I feel like ever time I get a return for have a issue, i am having to relearn stuff ever time. Driving me nuts.

No way to prevent returns. Your policy of 'no returns' is meaningless.

Buyers can file a case on PP and force a return for up to 180 days or more, so pretty much forever. Credit cards allow chargebacks in some cases for 24 months.

Just accept the return, build the cost into your next listings, and move on.

Put whatever you like, just understand it's meaningless.

EB and PP's policy over-rides your return policy, and they allow 180 days at least. People have talked about returns far longer than 180 days, and I've seen them for up to nearly a year.

It's not new, it's just nothing you've experienced before, as time goes on you'll find out lots of things like that.
