| | | | | walkingupwards | 02-28-2018 05:01 PM | Getting kicked off for absolutely no reason. Possible? A lot of people are stating that Ebay had in the past kicked thousands of good-performing sellers for absolutely no reason. Just because they were paying low fees due to their top-status!!
On the other hand, I have read here on this forum posts saying no body gets banned without him/her deserving it! There must be a reason for the ban, right?!
Today's ebay standards for evaluating how a seller is doing are different than before. You have the defect rate, late shipments rate and cases closed without seller intervention. Provided the 3 mentioned criteria are well served, could Ebay ban a seller out of the blue?
I personally am not buying into this notion that they banned sellers for the fact that they were paying low fees! I could name tens of sellers whose accounts are as old as 12 years and they all are generating millions in sales every year and yet none of them ever got banned!
What's your take on this? |
Re: Getting kicked off for absolutely no reason. Possible? Just to clarify, OP you are no longer dealing with Apple iphone cables right? :focus: |

Absolutely not. That vero takedown was a nightmare for me and I am grateful as f that it passed away peacefully.
Now after reading about 15k sellers getting kicked for no reason, I am actually worried about future Ebay policies that might affect me without any prior warnings! |

ebay always has a reason for suspension. The issue is that the seller(s) do not understand the reasons(s).
Here is an example for you.
Account has a vero notice of 7 days suspension.
Seller pushes the account with 2 further notices and suspension.
Then the account never sells rhe items again. Seller’s dashboard is clean.
Over the next 13 months, nothing happens except for a couple of 4 stars for Delivery. Ebay fees are increased as sales are up. They get paid at the last minute.
Out of nowhere, the account gets suspended. No reasons given. Account got that generic you can no longer use ebay notice......
That is ebay.
:tears:  :tears: |

I wish someone could regulate the way these e-commerce giants conduct business. People spend years building their shops on Ebay or Amazon and then out of the sudden they're banned! I mean what the f is wrong with them.
Let's live and see where this retarded world is heading!! |

It's just that you might not know the reason, OR not. Some users have an idea, but just don't want to admit it.
It's just might not be that obvious to you in all situations.
eBay doesn't just go banning for no reason at all. If in doubt, take a hard look at the suspention notice you got and *really* study it. |

Exactly, keeping people active on the site is in Eb*y's own best interest. Now if they're kicked off it might not always be FAIR, you might get swept off the deck because of their broad and often automatic methods, but there's always a reason.
I think the one thing that shows you're really understanding Stealth is that over time you realize when something goes wrong WHY it happened, and are better at avoiding it next time.
But there's always a reason, you might not always know what it is, or think it's a good one, but always a reason. |

Now they're not.
Once or twice a year they do these sweeps.
15K sellers is nothing, just a warmup - sometimes they've purged 100K sellers at a time.
This is just a love pat and a shot across the bow to get the attention of those who are smart enough to listen. |

I am also curious about that number of 15k sellers! I mean did Ebay tell the whole world how many sellers did they kick off their site?!
Or did the 15k sellers gather and decided to tell the world their story?
That question is yet to be answered  |
