Listing removed 2 Days after selling?
 

Hello

I sold an Listing 2 Days ago on ebay successfully and got the payment via Paypal. Now i got an email from Ebay that the listing got removed for Copyright Violation. I already sent the Item and everything went fine. What is the matter here? Since when can Ebay remove my already sold Listings?

Do i have to fear a suspension soon or something? What if my other listings will be affected soon aswell? This was a very random moment for me.

This is rare but it's something they've always done.

This will still count as a listing takedown strike against your account, and whatever buyer(s) you've sold to will still get an email from eBay telling them about the takedown.

If this was your first listing takedown you don't have anything to worry about.

Ok. Thanks, i didnt know that this is possible. They could reach out to my other sold listings aswell now, im afraid. How many times they can do it until i get suspended?

There's no definitive answer as it depends entirely on your account's history. A big account which processes thousands of orders weekly can potentially survive one listing removal per week forever, while a smallish newer account can be suspended after the first takedown.

As a general rule you'll be good as long as you have a lot of transactions between your listing takedowns.

I'll use an example for you:

List item on Day 1
Copyright Owners sees the item and files a DMCA on Day 2
You sell the item on Day 3
eBay processes the DMCA on Day 4

Your already sold listing will get a strike because the DMCA was filed prior to it being sold and while the listing was active.
