How long to be eligible for limit increase?

So it's been a month since I made this eBay account and my limit is 5/$500.
I tried to call in today to request a limit increase but their automated bot said I'm not eligible at this time and to try again in 30 days. I thought people usually get increases after a month of selling? As for my account, I have some feedback and completed some sales.

Automatic increases usually come pretty quickly, within 2 weeks in some cases. It can vary, sometimes they take much longer even though you sell the same amount.

After 30 days from account creation you are eligible for a limit increase by calling ebay. They don't always grant it, as you have found.

The Ebay bot is glitchy your can increase your limit every month, call Ebay again and get through to advisor by choosing a different option once get through let them know that you would like a limit increase and be prepared to answer questions or just request increase through chat.

OP's in the US, no chat here, and the situation is slightly different.

You can try for a live CSR and they'll ask about your business plans, etc, or wait another 30 days and try the bot again.

The denial may be due to a weakness in your account creation process, and it might be best to avoid having somebody live look at your account, however, if it were me I'd wait another 30 days, but a lot of people have success calling in. :)

There was a glitch in the system when I called recently. It told me that it hadn't been 30 days and it had actually been 60 days. I talk to a very nice operator who bumped it up manually for me.

I think that if you have multiple accounts, you wouldn't need to worry too much about increasing it.

Having it increased organically is usually the best. Less risk of account being looked too close into it too.
