Explanations to ebay for extra listings
 

Hi there.
My account is alive from about 1-2 months.
I only have 10 listings available but I think I can ask for more. I have to call ebay or maybe contact them in the chat.
They say that I have to explain what I want to do with ebay or what I want to sell. What do you suggest me to sell?
Is it easy to get in contact through the chat?

Tell them you've got a whole garage full of junk you want to sell. :)

What if I mention car boots and charity shops? And so showing them that I plan to resell stuff I find?

That means you're a business.

Probably better to say your wife ran away with the milkman and that you're selling all her clothes.

What's wrong with that? I know that my account at the moment is a personal one, but I think I can convert it to business? What's dangerous with that?

Invoices. Businesses have invoices for goods. If you are just selling stuff you already had, you dont need to supply invoices.

Saying you buys stuff from unsafe places such as storage lockers and car boots, etc...ebay and paypal are going to assume a lot more risk of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods. Too many unknows to them SOMETIMES.

My advice is to not make it complicated. You have a lot of stuff on hand and want to sell it.

Maybe you liked buying things for all your girlfriends and you slipped up and they all found out about each other?

If you're going to act as a business, they're going to subject you to a lot more scrutiny because you're going to create a lot more risk for them.

So you're telling me that all those people that buy and sell from charity shops/car boots etc and also make videos on youtube with their pick ups, are most likely registered with a personal account rather than a business?
If everybody does that, then who is registered as business? Just people that buy from wholesalers?

Some do, some don't - you have been given good advice - up to you to move on it or just wheel-deal as you want

Business acc looks more professional, plus you might get upgraded if flagged as being more of a business seller but using a personal acc....

It has more to do with your total profit, alot of carboot people do not make alot and/or probably do not even declare it...
