Second Chance bug

Sold an item to a person who does not pay. Decided to send a Second Chance offer to another person, but it says:

The following must be corrected before continuing:
Please select a non-winning bidder.

How come is that? I can not choose "winning bidder" in the list, as it shows only bidders that have lost the bidding! Also, this happens only on .com website, on .co.uk it works as intended for other items.

It's SOLD. You can't re-sell it until the first sale is resolved.

Cancel the transaction, or file an unpaid item and close it as soon as the three days pass and you'll be able to send a second chance offer.

Actually some people have their ebay set to not accept second chance bid

That's not entirely true. I don't really do auctions anymore (only occasionally), but you can send Second Chance offers to anyone/everyone that has bid on your item as soon as the auction ends

The only thing is you'll have to update your stock on the "Send a Second Chance Offer" page to reflect the # of offers you're looking to make. So if you only have 1 listed for inventory, you can only send 1 offer. If you increase it to 3, you can send 3 Second Chance offers. Etc. Maybe that's what you were referring to?

I feel like second chance offers are one of this hidden gem tools on eBay, I don't see many people talking about them, but it's one of my favorite ways to milk some extra sales

Re: Second Chance bug

The issue is that I was always able to do Second Chance Offer even if I have successfully completed the initial sale. Now it does not let me to do it, saying I am trying to do it to the winning bidder, while I am not. I did that many times, but now it gives the error mentioned above. I tried changing the quantity, offering it to another bidder, still no luck, same error.

I have a feeling it's a temp glitch - might retry next day. I have sent second chance to all kinds of non-winning buyers who don't win so that statement about "item is sold so can't do second chance" is totally incorrect.

Clear cookies and history and try again.

That worked like a charm, once I did that - it allowed me to send Second Chance offers as usual.
