If eBay account is banned, is linked PayPal affected?
 

Hi,

I have a legit eBay account linked to a paypal account in good standing, I was wondering if I were to get banned on eBay would that affect my paypal account in any way. The Paypal account is more important to me than the eBay account.

In the US, it depends. My PP account remained in good standing.

This last happened to me years ago, some of the PP's were limited at the same time, but those that weren't are still active 6 years later and in use on other sites than EB.

Same here, when the EB was suspended or selling limited (MC011) as an example, the PayPal remained fine with no issues.

I have had a few of these happen - eb would go down but pp left standing. I used the pp for other things and it still has lasted years after

Just make sure that you don't use that paypal on a new eBay account...

What if the situation is vice-versa? EB is fine but PP is limited?

Then just remove the old paypal account from ebay and keep it for a few weeks without any sales.

After that, clear all cookies, change IP (buy vpn from any providers) and once you are listing the items, just add the new paypal in the listing.

Do not link your new PayPal account with the old ebay account and you will be able to sell again :)

Well I am testing using a good paypal from a banned ebay on a good ebay that paypal got limited and so far (6 weeks in) all is good, have transferred $5000 to my bank and I keep $100 in paypal. So only time will tell if this works, but it was a 5000/50,000 a month account and I thought I would try to save it. But as far as I am concerned the $5000 I have made ($4200 profit) in 6 weeks was worth the test.
