Seller Experience Team begging me to sell again?
 

I had an old account with lots of feedback suspended 4 years ago. Out of no where someone from the seller experience team is emailing me 2x a week asking me to sell again. Is anyone else getting this?

Could be automated. Get an IP and log in and see if the account is active again.

I think Ebay is trying to bring sellers back to their platform and that's a smart move on their end. A suspended seller would do their best to not get suspended again, so I don't see anything wrong with giving people a 2nd chance cuz it's a win-win situation.

I hope Ebay will conquer again in the future and put Amazon in check :-/

I am pretty sure my mega account I lost back in 2013 is back. I got an email saying they will pay me to list. I logged in and my account balance is a positive $364.63 I will call them later this week. No matter what I want my money!

I have an account from 2014 that is suddenly active again but no offer to pay me for listing... not that I am complaining!

Last month I was going through limited accounts looking for small balances in paypal accounts. While doing this I found ebay accounts that seemed perfectly fine. I cant remember most of the suspensions but I am sure they are the ones that just had the selling ban or call in request that I never called in on.

Did not think much of it until now.

eBay is under pressure now more than ever to get as many sellers on their site as possible. This is especially the case with the uptick on alternative sites: Etsy, iOffer, Bonanza, Rakuten, eBid, etc, etc. And, yes, Amazon.

eBay also knows a big chunk of their traffic is going to "those other sites", so doesn't surprise me they want you back on.

Two years ago, I was getting 'slapped' about. Now eBay just seems so relaxed on many policies in my opinion - I was wondering if it was the new bloke Rob Hattrell relaxing rules... But now that you mentioned competition, it makes sense that we would not be driven off until the platform is scant :bounce:

Well it's good news but eBay is useless without PayPal and if you use New PayPal on that eBay that will be also closed down

A lot of people never lost the paypal that was attached to the eBay. So, they can start right back up selling.

Also the fact that his statement that the new PayPal will be closed as soon as you use it on the old eBay account, totally false as well.

True - but not 100% guaranteed longterm...though it is possible just a risk in itself

Yup, on kickass ebay accounts i've been known to run through 3 accounts in a years time. No issues.
