eBay Guaranteed Delivery Program
 

hello all,
I hope this post finds you well. I cannot seem to find anything on the eBay Guaranteed Delivery posts wise on here. I am wondering what kind of experience , if any, do any of you have? I have not enrolled in it and of course I wonder whether I should since others out there ( not this forum) seem to claim higher sales since introducing that program.

Any feedback on this would be much appreciated :-)

One of my big accounts has been enrolled for a few months.

I've noticed zero increase in sales.

I hate the very idea, and can't imagine it would make much difference in sales except to guarantee that the pickiest, most difficult to deal with customers see an opportunity to scam you.

No problems whatsoever with scams for us.

My understanding is in the current incarnation of the program, eBay covers the loss if the guaranteed delivery date isn't met. It's their attempt at competing with Amazon Prime.

I'll be watching the boards to see how it works out, if people aren't complaining in 6 months or a year and sales are up, I'll be glad to consider it.

Heck, if you tell me that's the case your word is worth that of 100 other folks.

In general I'm usually leery of EB's promises to 'protect me' or the words 'we've got you covered'. Usually the only thing they're covering is their hand dipping into my wallet. :)

I have heard from others that their main problem is USPS not scanning all of the shipments on time resulting in negative marks on their accounts, even though they have shipped it.
For me summer is slower season so I want to consider all options.
