Chinese Sellers Stating Item Location Is In The UK 😲

Hi Fellow Stealthers,
I’ve recently noticed 5 Chinese sellers listing in the same category I sell in which I have no issue with however stating that these Chinese sellers state the item location is in the UK which it’s clearly not as their delivery times state delivery within 14 days therefore my question is that is this against Ebay TOS aren’t they misleading customers by stating the item is located in the UK and is their anything I can do about this?

It’s really annoying as this has impacted my sales in this particular category I’m all with competition but hate sellers misleading customers so that they can steal sales. 🤬

All your advice and help will be much appreciated & thanks in advance.

It could be a dropship operation with a warehouse within the UK. Have you purchased from them to see where the item comes from? If you order from them thinking the item is coming from the UK and the item ships directly from China it would be easy to get them into trouble.

I hate to be "that guy", but I'd report them for misrepresenting where the item is shipped from. "Inaccurate item location" (or something along those lines) is one of the default options given on the report page. They take that kind of report seriously in my experience. I've had my own listings taken down on stealth accounts for not shipping items from where the listing said.

Interesting thread dealing with the issue of dropshipping competition - some of those sellers may be members here as well...

I once ordered a pair of headphones, and the seller claimed to be in "LA California". Three weeks later the package from Guangdong China arrives. Needless to say I wasn't happy and reported that guy. There is no excuse for mis-representing the country you are shipping from.

I am not one of those chinese seller, I have a question only

Are we allowed to change item location when selling digital delivery item Or this is against eBay Policies,

2nd Question: When accepting payments from other countries, do we need to touch paypal and do some thing manually in order to received payments?

Thank you all,

Thank you all,

You can change location on listing - good to keep buyer aware where the item is coming from.

You will need pp to accept payments in general - keep in mind that digital delivery is kind of frowned by pp and could lead to problems

Misrepresenting item location doesn't last for long. The return shipping kills them. If you buy something from them and open a return case they won't be able to give you a return label to send it back to China.
