Is it worth it?

Hi to All lovely aspkin users!

I design resume templates on MS Word. I have opened a shop on et.sy, however, I would like to try my best, and list on Ebay.

When I search resume templates on ebay, it shows only 93 listings.

What do you think, should I start to sell resume templates on ebay? Please consider, they are digital downloads.

Thanks!

No harm in trying if you have an account spare, but as you know these are digital items and therefore they are going to be high risk so it will really depends on the type of eBay account that you are going to be selling these one. If you have one that is really strong and solid then you may well be fine but you are still going to put the account at risk when you put a digital item up on it

Thanks. Mee too think so, that's why I opened a new thread about this. Something is going wrong with Et.sy. There are many sellers on et.sy forum complaining from low views/sales. There are some even going to close their shop.

I don't know, maybe I'm worrying too early? My Shop's age is approximately 13 days.

Keep in mind that digital downloads are always risky in PP's eyes.

It’s not Etsy. It’s the product. Some sell faster than others, some don’t sell at all, others go like gangbusters.

I need only 60-70 sales in total. It will give me enough money to open second one. There are sellers who made their first sale after 1,3..6 months..

I won't give up.

On Etsy you can get sells on a shop within hours of putting them up, depending on the product. That's probably their issue.

Just read my own post and it made me laugh lol. 13 days and I'm worrying.

I should try to be patient.

Sure, give it a shot but as others have mentioned digital items are considered risky and eBay does not like risky for new users.. maybe start off with something lower risk first and than introduce digital items after some feedback
